A small sewing studio in Margate, making, mending and learning together!

I’ve been sewing since I was 16, when I got my first sewing machine and made a dress on the kitchen table that very same day. I’ve been hooked ever since. After 15 years working with costumes in TV & Film, I’m now bringing that love of making to Nice & Threads.

I’m passionate about good fabrics, making things that last and finding more sustainable ways to live. Sewing is about so much more than making clothes — it’s about repairing, reusing, getting creative and giving old favourites a new lease of life.

My workshops are relaxed, social and completely beginner-friendly. Come and learn a new skill, bring along a friend, grab a cup of tea (or a cocktail at one of our evening workshops!) and get stitching.

These are skills you can take home and use again and again — whether you’re mending your favourite jeans, trying visible mending or simply fancy making something with your hands.
